FASNY nurtures creative, open-minded, critical thinkers to become lifelong learners motivated to lead, contribute and thrive in an ever-changing world. We focus on the learning and well-being of our students in an academically rigorous, multicultural, bilingual setting that brings together the best of American, French and International education.
We value an inclusive community where everyone is seen, heard and feels respected.
We are responsible and accountable for our Guiding Statements & FASNY Fundamentals. We take responsibility for our actions, and we act with honesty, fairness, and compassion even in the face of challenges.
We care about others, and we take care of others; we put ourselves in other’s shoes, try to feel what they feel to better understand them, and accept/welcome their identity and differences
Last week, twenty-four of our high school students, ranging from grade 9-11, spent four intense days in Rochester, NY, to compete in the 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference.
FASNY 8th grade students had the exceptional privilege of meeting Jean-Pierre Laffont, the internationally renowned photojournalist, during their Advisory hour with their Leaders of Learning.
If you’re grabbing some coffee, pastries, or a baguette at a FASNY local favorite @laparisienebakerycafe this weekend, be sure to stop and check out the window designs created by some of our very own third graders! Thank you to the entire staff and Ms. Costa for allowing us to provide a little extra joy to the community. See more photos on SmugMug, link in bio. #WeloveFASNY
Today we celebrated Arab Heritage Month at the Harbor Campus the best way we know how...with food, dancing, music, and culture! Thanks to the @_fasny.msu_ and the generosity of parents, the joyous event left us all feeling happy, full, energized, with hands full of henna, and an extra appreciation for all of our Arab community members! Earth Day celebrations continued this week with a special outing for our 6th graders. On Monday, they visited the Leatherstocking Forest—a protected area rich in biodiversity—accompanied by their SVT and school life teachers. Students explored meadows, forests, and waterways with observation books in hand, spotting insects, animal tracks, and plants. They also took part in a species recognition workshop, using an app to identify various plants in small groups. The trip was both fun and educational, helping students appreciate the importance of biodiversity and environmental preservation. Meanwhile, back at school, members of the Eco Rep team tended to the Village Campus MyGardyn! #WeloveFASNY
Happy Earth Day 🌎 Mme Pepin’s third graders celebrated this morning with great enthusiasm and motivation! The class started their day watching a video to help understand how endangered animals are affected by human behavior, and learning about what happens to materials like metal, plastic, and paper when we recycle them. Next, they took their new knowledge, plastic gloves, and garbage bags to hit the ground running, cleaning up the Manor Campus playground and green space. The good news? There wasn’t much garbage to pick up - a sign that our school community is already making a positive impact! Well done, third graders! #WeloveFASNY
